Stuck on the tracks with fatal resistance

Life surrenders when it's full of impurity
Face the emotions dancing inside your head
Lingering words at the end of the bed
Like a speeding train that has just left the station
Changes come to you with no indication
Like a speeding car that has just left the freeway
Changes come to you with no way to slip away
Changes come with no sense of serenity
Can't seem to focus on the invisibility
Rough waters flow when your stuck out at sea
No land in sight as far as the eye can see
You're never ready when the changes come for you
There's no turning back when you're blinded by the fear
Finding your way when the changes misguided you
Be true to yourself and you'll never shed a tear

In the city many miles from home

Looking for the answer
On how to change the circumstances
Not a day goes by where they’re giving second chances
Working all hours just enough to get by
An extra shift to get the perfect gift
Her dying boy needs the best of care
When all he wants is to have you there
You had a dream you'd be on the big screen
But life is never quite what it seems
There's no way to recover from the baddest of choices
But now he needs you there's no time for remorse
You don't know how you do it
You just keep going on and on
When everyday it's always the same
You just wonder how you don't go insane

It's a strange and empty feeling
Like something is not right
The memory that is fading
Is like a speck of distant light
A family man in the prime of his life
Standing tall and ready to fight
I saw the light fade behind his tired eyes
Like a star on a cloudy night
A tiny memory in the back of my mind
A fading light that I just can't find
He shined so bright
For all of us to see
Now the memory is all I really need
He felt the pain but he never said a word
All the time we knew that he was brave
Day by day to never be a burden
He wore a smile in all that he gave
Bad luck doesn't discriminate
By where it lands
Or who it takes
You made the best of your time
You made the little light shine
All the questions that will never get an answer
All the memories of a time gone by
One more chance to say I Love You

I am an independent artist I have played in both cover and original bands. All while working on my own material in my home
studio. I am into classic and modern rock.
I played all the guitars and basses, keyboards and programmed the drums. I sing lead and backup on some of the songs and on others they are programmed using Synthesizer V with Kevin as the voice.
